Question 1

What does MC Select Co. cost me?

Accepted Answer

Nothing. There's no cost to submit your project or use our connection service, and no obligation. We're compensated by the construction professional after a project is signed, and we don't allow that to be added to your project pricing.

Question 2

Can I build an ADU on my lot?

Accepted Answer

Both Seattle and Bellevue now allow accessory dwelling units on most single-family lots, but setbacks, lot coverage, height limits and tree regulations vary block to block. Our team does a feasibility read before you spend money on design.

Question 3

How long does a detached ADU take?

Accepted Answer

Plan on 3–6 months for design and permitting and 6–10 months of construction. Garage conversions and interior renovations move considerably faster.

Question 4

Who is in your construction network?

Accepted Answer

Experienced construction professionals serving King County. Qualifications, experience, availability and project fit are considered before an introduction is made.

Question 5

How does MC Select Co. get paid?

Accepted Answer

There is no cost to homeowners to use MC Select Co. When a referred project results in a signed agreement, MC Select Co. may receive compensation from the construction professional.

Question 6

Do I have to work with the professional you introduce?

Accepted Answer

No. You sign directly with the professional under a separate agreement, and you can walk away at any point.

Question 7

What if I don't know my budget yet?

Accepted Answer

Choose 'Need guidance' in the planner. We'll come back with what your goals realistically cost right now in your area, then help you decide what to keep or phase.

Question 8

Will my details be sold to a lead network?

Accepted Answer

Never. Your information goes to the MC Select Co. team, and we only share it with a construction professional when your project is a fit and you agree to the connection.
